It started with a story on the news. The creatures of myth and nightmares became a reality for the world. In countries all across the globe beautiful people were exposing their fangs or turning into wolves on their local and national news broadcasts. Humankind took on a new meaning. Not everything that looked human was certain to be human anymore. Naturally, panic spread at the idea that there were blood sucking vampires and shape-shifting Weres, which were before thought to only be something seen in films or read in books. Countries reacted differently to the news. Some welcomed the Supernatural beings with seemingly open arms while others sought to kill anything different from themselves. The United States, however, was divided. Some people believed that the new information shouldn't matter, while others believed that because they were not human they should not be treated as such. Once enemies, vampires and werewolves have been united under a common goal: to gain equal rights. It isn't a happy alliance, but it is a necessary one if they want to make any progress.
